Personal Styling
Personal styling is a custom service designed to help you enhance your personal image and develop a unique sense of style that aligns with your personality and lifestyle. Our goal is to use things you already own (you bought them for a reason, right!) and bring everything together so it feels purposeful and representative of who you are.
Our personal styling services start an hourly rate of $50. Most initial sessions take about 2 hours. We are happy to work with you to determine a time that meets your needs. Timing needs will be finalized during the consult.
How It Works:
Consult
We work with you to identify what your style goals are, and what you are looking to get out of our time together.
Plan
We spend some time planning outfits, say for the work week or a vacation, using what you already have. We also identify any gaps in your wardrobe that are preventing you from loving your look.
Test
Once we have our outfit bases picked out, you will try them on to be sure that you love it, and to pivot if you don’t. You might be taking some fashion “risks” and stepping out of your comfort zone.
Accessorize
After we have our outfit bases, we work on picking accessories that compliment the outfit. We also touch on timeless and classic accessories that could be worth investing in.
Post Appointment
Following our appointment, you will receive a comprehensive outline of things we went over such as go-to outfits, trends you identify with, and gaps in your wardrobe so you can shop with purpose.
Continuing Style
Fashion is continuously evolving, and so are you! We are happy to meet with you on a recurring basis - most people meet at the start of each season to prepare and refresh themselves for the coming months. There is a discounted
What about personal shopping?
Traditionally, personal shopping consists of someone going with you to the store and showing you what to buy, or bringing things to you in-home that are available for purchase. This contributes to the overspending and overconsumption crisis that our planet and pockets face.
School Street Studios focuses entirely on second hand items, and does not offer traditional personal shopping services. However, if you are interested in the personal shopping experience with second hand items we would be happy to host you or bring items that are available for purchase to your personal styling appointment.
