FAQs

How does consignment work?

Short answer: You bring your items to us to evaluate, price, and sell on your behalf. You get paid a portion of the sale price.

Why do you charge a cleaning and repairs fee?

We offer cleaning and repairs on certain consignment items if we believe that the cost of the repair will allow us to sell the item at a better price. If a dress is missing a zipper and the dress would sell as is for $5, but we add a new zipper and can now sell the dress for $30, that would be a repair worth completing. Not every item is worth repairing, and we will contact you to discuss repairs prior to completing them. You do not have to agree to any repairs if you do not want to.

By offering a cleaning and repairs service, we also get to sell more items. Things that would normally be thrown away can have a second life, and you can potentially make more money.

How do I know if something is authentic?

We do our best to determine if an item is authentic. Unfortunately fakes have gotten more realistic, and it can be hard to tell. Items that come with tags and papers will be marked as such. If an item is fake, we will return it to you or recycle it at your request. We also offer third party authentication services at cost. If the item does not sell with us, you will retain the certificate of authenticity.
